Dear Eric, seems like you are not that confident about yourself and your abilities. That is a sad thing as you are only 16 years old and have plenty of time to evolve your personality, your looks and your confidence! The latter is the first priority for you to take care of - self confidence in my opinion is the foundation of an active and balanced social life and has a deep impact on your well-being both from the in- and the outside. I'm very sure that you are not that kind of a person, you consider yourself as. Don't let nobody hold you down and believe in yourself. You are so young and still have lots of ways to go. first of all don't feel like you're worthless. everybody has their effect on the world. have you ever seen its a wonderful life. that just goes to show that everybody is worth something. now one thing you need to keep in mind is to feel confident with your self and don't get discouraged because that starts to make you feel worse and worse. another thing is everybody has their flaws. all people have them its just some people are better at hiding it than others. if you keep that in mind everything will seem all good:) and feel confident about how you look it's gives you character and personality. every person is beautiful in their own ways.

I'm the same sort of way, so I am not too sure. But maybe you could just try thinking "I look nice today" and then keep thinking like that, sorry if this doesn't help
