i am considering turning a mosin91/30 into a sporter?
i am getting the ATI Monte Carlo stock, i know the stock comes with two swivel studs for a sling. My question is, what other parts do i need to get in order to mount a decent sling on this rifle?
Save your original stock in case you plan to resell it. In the used gun market, an old military relic like a Mosin Nagant is worth more the way it comes. If it only comes with an ATI stock, then it's devalued as a collectible and the plastic stock is worth less than the original. Sell it as a combo with the rifle assembled as it were when you bought it and a second stock to go along with it.
Nothing but a couple of Uncle Mikes whatchamacallits and a sling. I put one of my Mosin rifle actions into a Monte Carlo stock and it is a nice package. Be sure and save the wooden original stock as they are worth about a hundred bucks if you try to buy one. Also, with the wooden stock you can go to Amazon and order a nifty little ribbed rubber replacement buttplate that adds an inch and a half to the stock length and eliminates the slipperyness of the metal one.

Sling swivels to match the studs supplied. ('Uncle Mikes'?)
You big problem will be a decent set of sights to fit that old bird.
