Is 50/50 a sad drama or a funny comedy?
If I'm looking for a really funny movie that will make me laugh out loud, will 50/50 do that? I'm not looking for something that will just make me depressed for the rest of the week.

50/50 is kind of both. But it's more of a sad drama so I wouldn't recommend 50/50 if your looking for a laughable movie. Try something like
Hangover/Hangover II
The Change-Up
27 Dresses
White Chicks
Bad Boys/Bad Boys II

The movie is a dramedy. It has a lot of funny moments and a lot of emotional moments. But just because it's a drama does mean that it is depressing. The movie is actually quite optimistic and uplifting, the humor and the drama blend very well together. The movie will not make you depressed but it is also not the funniest movie ever. Watch it though it is good.
Wouldn't describe it as a comedy per say. It is a terrific movie though. I laughed a little but cried a lot!
