I don't think he was I think it might have just been Shisui. Since I highly doubt the being gay in the Uchiha clan was acceptable. And I don't think that the anime is just for boys since more then half the viewers are girls. I think maybe Kishimoto is using that and hinting towards some yaoi but never doing it. So girls watch for that and boys watch the violence.

God I hate it when people ask stupid questions like this. Itachi was not 'dating' Shisui, that was his best friend-nothing more. Naruto and Sasuke's kiss was a complete accident and they were both disgusted by it. The thing with Kakashi and Naruto was just a jutsu, he didn't 'rape' him. Itachi was not gay, and neither was Shisui. Naruto is not a yaoi so stop making up crap about the characters being gay-it is clear that none of them are.

Fanboying does not equal being attracted to a character. Passionate, yes. Gay? Not necessarily. Not unless you yourself think so. People who identify as straight find themselves attracted to anime characters of the same sex all the time. Most of them are ambiguous in looks, so it's not that big of a deal.
