To that one answerer, Joan Jett has NEVER stated that she was straight. Ever. She has never confirmed, nor has she denied being a lesbian.

When she was a teenager she dated men and women (it's apparent in her music). And in her music now (with the exception of the songs she wrote as a teenager) from her lyrics, you can tell she's only dating women. So I think she was bi-curious growing up, and then at one point in her life realized she was a lesbian.

Edit: And I totally approve of The Runaways over Sex and the City 2... haha

Joan Jett is straight. That kissing scene in the movie wasn't a romantic scene. It was just some random thing Joan Jett did as a teenager. I saw an interview with Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning where they explained that.
