I looked at the video Ai Se Eu Te Pego by Michel Telo and most of the people in the video looked very white, I never realized that Brazil had so many White people until recently, i always thought most Brazilians looked like Ronaldinho or Robinho .

IBGE'S source [see in Wikipedia]
Brazil White Population
Brazil is incredibly diverse and due to the size of the country and the amount of the population, one of the most (or THE most diverse) country in the world. From black, white, yellow, brown and all in-between and mixes. But do you know what they all have in common? From Asian Brazilians to Black Brazilians to White Brazilians? They are all BRAZILIAN. Yes, TV, music videos and such are often a poor portrayal of what a "real Brazilian" looks like but the same can be said here in the states. Not a whole bunch of white guys in the latest Kanye West rap video. Not a whole bunch of black guys in the latest Big & Rich video. See my point? What I love about Brazil, as was stated by an earlier responder, there is so much less "color" to Brazil (compared to the US or much of the world) as there is, Brazilian to the Brazilians.
Pure European look (little admixture doesn't matter cuz even 20% of US got little non-Euro genes)
=> 25-30% ( check Brazil Volleyball team, tennis players, movie stars, etc)
Blacks like African Americans => max 10%
Mulatto kinda face => 20%
stereotype Latina face => 35-40%
the rest is Amerindian and Asians
More-or-less. Most "ethnic" Brazilians are a mix of many races (most often Portuguese and native).
Look at the Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura (from Belo Horizonte) in their early days. They were somewhat tan-skinned, but definately caucasian.
I lived with an exchange student from Sao Paulo for a few months in the past, and despite having jet-black hair, he was very much considered white.
Brazil is a multi-cultural country like the USA. They have many different people of many different ethnicities living there :)
No. Brazil is one the most diverse countries in Latin America. You can go there and see people of all colors and races and the one thing they have in common is that they are all Brazilian.
Some people here say the majority are black.
Wrong, they probably said this because they live in Rio de Janeiro or in any city in Northeast Brazil.
In southern Brazil, the majority of people are white, and when I say white I mean: blonde people with blue eyes.
In southern Brazil almost everyone is descended from German or Russian.
Brasil is a huge mix of cultures and colors. In its settlement, mixed European, African and native Amazonian Indians ... The southern region is home to many white descendants of Germans, Dutch exactly where it came from Ronaldinho. already
Robinho is from São Paulo, the largest "mixture" of the country.
Beginning for the white concept or black, while in the USA who has 1 drop of blood n.egro it is n.egro, in Brazil who has 1 drop of white blood it is white.
No that we are concerned with that.
There are a big white population, but it's a big country so is not majority.
hello i'm brazilian and here in brazil , have much people white an much people black ,but, it depends of the where you are. : D
