Why are you opening mail from people you do not know? Opening spam mail alerts the sender that your address is a valid one and they send you loads and loads more.
When an E-mail offer sounds too good to be true, then it is definitely not true.
It is a scam to get your personal information and/or money.
Do not respond to it.
Report it, forward it to the FTC at [email protected] and to the abuse desk of the sender's ISP.
For yahoo, report them here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya...
Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on.
Also, if the E-mail appears to be impersonating a bank or other company or organization, forward the message to the actual organization.
And for your E-mail safety, remember:
Do not ever open E-mail from people you do not know; and unless you are absolutely sure who it is from then treat them as spam.
Never, ever give out your personal information to anyone, for any reason, whether by E-mail, snail mail, phone call, or at your front door.
And do not ever send money, checks or money orders to; or cash checks, money orders for any one - ever.
This is a 419 scam probably from Nigeria or Russia. They have a lot of scams. It seems legit until you send them money. Whatever you do do not send them your checking account or any information of that nature. Type in 419 scams in your search box and see how many links pop up. If they are in Nigeria there is nothing you can do because Nigeria does not deal with 419 scams. They will do nothing. I would keep every bit of email, or pms you recieve from them just incase. Send me the yahoo address they are using I want to check this one out for ya. You can pm me or email me if you want more info. I have a lot of info memorized about this sort of thing and I am willing to help you with some knowledge.
Of course it's a scam. It's not clear from the post exactly how they collect. If there is an email address to reply to, don't. If there is a webpage link, do not click on it. It would probably be a malware download site. If there is a file attachment, do not open it.
Email is a scam look for .Gov on OFFICIAL papers besides government likes traditional mail no email is sent with chance of being shredded or hacked looks nice though
definitely a scam but it offers no way to take your money. maybe it had a virus on it
probably but im not 100 % sure.
