Would a dual core processor (intel) at 2.53 ghz E7200 Wolfdale be strong enough to run crysis on high settings? If not, what's a processor within $100-150 that could?
Update:Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
That a good alternative?

It depends on the rest of your computer.
also let me give you an idea of what a monster crysis is.
Q9300 core 2 quad @ 2.5GHz (780i mobo 1333mhz FSB)
4GB DDR2 800mhz
7200rmp HHD
Two 9600gts in sli
22in widescreen runs crysis in 1680x1050
Cost of whole computer $1700
I still get some lag on high and ultra high is unplayable (like 1fps)
In terms of a processor for you though the E8400 is awesome ($160 though =P)

It might be, also Crysis is not all CPU power, it rely heavily on the GPU once it goes into high-max. Also it depends on what resolution you play at. You can get a quad core for a little more outside your price range if you buy it at newegg.com. the cheapest quad core may be the first Intel quad core out, but it works just like any newer one, just at a cheaper price. And if your GPU is 9800GTX, your computer should be able to handle it on high with the quad-core just fine.
Get a Q6700 its a quad core it should be in that range if you find the right store.
I would go with an i7 (thats what i have) , its a little more expencive (310$) but you will have that for at least 5 years before it goes old.
+ its highly overclockable and stock speed is 2.66 unless you want to get the extreme version.
Yes the game will run good on this processor .. But you can upgrade ram about 3 to 4 gb it will be great not only for crysis but run many games and faster functioning of Pc.
