Walk into a resteraunt and ask for an application. Fill it out and bring it back. It is always best to talk to a manager. If they like you they would hire you on the spot. You would have to train at minimum wage for a week or two and then you would start on your own.
Go to the restaurant when they are NOT busy and tell them you are there to apply for a waitressing job. Most restaurants are not busy before 11:00am and after 2 or 3pm. You can call the mgr. first to ask the best time to stop by. You are not too young unless the restaurant decides they don't want you serving alcohol. It's good if you approach by asking for the manager so they know you're serious. If the mgr is not there, fill out the application and be friendly with everyone!
My parents run a restaurant and they hired a girl to be a waitress at fifteen. She had absolutely no job experience at all, and she worked out great. She became one of the head waitresses within a few months. You should go for the job (great tips) and don't worry about not knowing much about it, they'll train you and teach you everything you need to know.
I work at a restaurant as a cook, heres what you do.... Go into the restaurant, tell them you wish to work as a waitress but will take a job in any position such as bus girl or hostess. Once you have a job at that restaurant, you will eventually get trained to be a waitress once they think you are a reliable and a good worker. :)
By no means are you too young to be a waitress, but it helps to have some job experience, or a reference. All you have to do is go in and ask for an application or ask if they are hiring, and you might get an interview. PM me is you need to know anything else.
yea you have to be 21 to be a waitress at any restaurant because you have to serve alcohol no matter were you live its the law... sorry but you could walk in and ask for an application, for your age you would probably only be able to be a .... what ya call it... the person who seats customers to there tables...
just walk in and ask for a manager and then when the manager comes out just say that you're applying for a job and you'd like to give them a copy of your resume. The only problem is you may only get a job as one of those table cleaners because I think you have to be of legal age so you can serve alcohol.
you would be unable to be choosy approximately your pastime, kiddo. There are grown adults which could in basic terms stumble on a activity being a waitress, what makes you think of an adolescent might have greater advantageous success? only deliver out aplications everywhere and desire for the suited.
Pick a local restaurant. Best if it is one your family frequents. Stop in and let them know you are looking for a job. Find my first one that way and stayed with them part time for 7 yrs
you have to be 18 to work as a waitress.
