I am trying to sell cards to mtgfanatic.com and it requires that I download their buylist, modify it, and then upload it. I seem to be unable to upload it even though I've tried converting it. I also just created an account in case I needed to be a member in order to upload it. Suggestions on what to try next?

Ah. I just sold to them - heres how it works. You use the CSV download-upload system because they dont provide a searchable online buy entry system.. why I dont know.. just a long list of pages.. anyway. You select a group of cards and download it. Open it in Excel or OpenOffice Spreadsheet. Do NOT convert it to anything - work with it as-is. Expand the columns some so you can read the card names, and put a number 1,2,3,whatever for cards you want to sell in the last column. Dont touch anything else. Save your finished file in the SAME format - do not allow the program to save it in the format it suggests "to preserve formatting" or whatever. Upload the file to them. If you have a slow/asynchronous internet connection on uploads then it may help to remove large chunks of the card records you are not selling on from the long list, sending mostly only the cards you Are selling, to reduce the file size you are trying to upload. Its not required to send the whole list just like you got it, but it must be that plain comma-delimited format CSV. The header row must be maintained.
Now a note on that store.. since I just finished a sale I will pass along advice.. they returned HALF of my cards as rejects that I painstakingly examined to be okay, and costed me 12oz first class shipping price off of my final check. These guys ONLY WANT ABSOLUTELY MINT cards. They managed to reject BRAND NEW cards from planar chaos, finding some microscopic flaw, even WotC printer's flaws - ink blotches etc. No scratches, scuffs, etc when viewed with the light reflecting off the surfaces, not a single bit of white on the edges, etc. Forget sending cards you've ever played with unsleeved, and T1 cards that weren't cryogenically frozen after pulled from the pack 15 years ago.
Try another store for more forgiving grading but less payout. abugames or coolstuffinc takes played or not-so-strict NM.
