am looking to get a new car 06 or higher but am not too sure what to get, i have been looking at the g35 and at a monte carlo ss. any info on the two cars from 1st hand thanks
If you can afford the extra bucks for the G35 (coupe right?)- it's a much better car. The V8 in the Monte has comparable acceleration, but the rear drive G will handle MUCH better (those front drive GM's are not real strong here), and is worlds better looking too. The Chevy does have the upside of being more practical as it is much roomier that the G, but if you don't need the extra space that doesn't matter much.
Also - if buying new the Infiniti will have better resale value, but if you're looking used you'll probably gain that advantage with the Chevy.
I hate to say it...the G35...in Japan and europe...that is the Skyline GT-R35 in a Clark Kent disquise....a little rice rocket monster...The Monte Carlo is cool...it sure is cheaper and has more room but the V-8 is weak....it's basically the current model Impala ....it's not a 1987 SS Aerocoupe
G35 hands down. I've never driven a monte carlo but I am a current chevy owner and I have owned a japanese car in the past. the quality and reliability of the chevy is nowhere near that of any japanese car. i have repair bills and tow truck receipts that I never had with my japanese car. buy the SS and you'll be sorry!
