My TiVo is stuck on the screen that says "almost there, just a few more minutes". Any ideas of what's wrong?
It's been frozen on this screen all night long and I've even unplugged it for a half hour, plugged it back in and it still freezes on this screen. I've repeated this a few times with the same results.

I had a similar problem last year. I understand that it is very common. Unfortunately it sounds like the drive bit the dust. I called my satellite provider at that time and they sent me a newer replacement unit for the cost of shipping only. Is yours a standalone Tivo or a DirecTv unit? If it is a true Tivo I would call them to see what they can do for you.
Throw something at it, it's messing with you.
