I have the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 graphics card, and im asking for a new one for Christmas. I want a new one because in the games i play (League of Legends and WoW) I have to play on lowest settings and still only get like 18 FPS.
The problem is...I dont know where to start looking for a new one. How do i know which ones are better...and how better are they? If someone can help me pick one out i would very much appreciated it. The price needs to stay under $100.

If you only hav an integrated Geforce that probably means you have a very basic power supply. If you want a gaming card you will need more power and that plus the card will cost you more than $100.
The Radeon HD 5770 is a good mid-range card with a good price. Make sure you have a PCI-e 16x slot on your motherboard and check the card's system requirements to see if you need a power supply upgrade.

Find out if your computer has a PCI-express 16x slot first.
Generally, the second number in the name of the card is more important in regards to performance than the first... for example, an nvidia 8800GT would blow away an nvidia 9500GT in performance. Don't fall too hard for the video ram of the card, it's not as important as the other guts.
The nvidia GTX 460 is the current gaming card most people are buying, it's going for around $150 but I've seen it down to $120 if you can get it. I have the GTX 470 myself.
Look for one at Best Buy, or Frys.
But if you dont have a PCI x16 slot, it wont work.
This happened to me yesterday when I made an attempt to deconstruct my friends computer to fulfill the missing parts of mine.
In the process of extracting his motherboard, I realized I couldn't even use it as it wasn't compatible with my CPU or GeForce 8400GS.
I ended up only being able to use his RAM.
Dude you are a guy like me
buy the ati 5570 hd (direct x 11 card)
low power good performance
