Ok, I know the film isn't real footage and I kind of guessed that when I was watching it, but does anybody not find it a little annoying that not even the story is real? How can they advertise something as real footage and at the beginning of the film it thanks the police department and families for the footage and stories. Is it just me or is it really annoying because it's just a made up story. To me that's false advertising.

I guess you could call it false advertising... but then again - most advertising is... And when it comes to movies - well - just like Blair Witch, it's all a publicity stunt (and also a way of making the movie seem more realistic).
But to me (I'm an athiest) it's not any more fake than TV-evangelists or Jehovah's Witnesses (or any religion who promises the keys to the golden gate and the only one with the 'real' answer...)
To me it just makes the movie more interesting and personal - though I found it pretty dull...
you evidently dint remember blair witch ,, .. I knew the movie was fake . ( PA ) but i just wanted to see why people said it was the scariest film and blah blah ././. the movie sucked.. its is false advertisement .. But its also great marketing it got alot of people to see it ./// and now the guy who made it for probly a mil .. is rolling in like 50 times that .. at least .. do i like it .. .No .. do i think its smart the way they did it .. Absolutely
its just for fun
