I have these field coming from the database
e.g; Field1 ="abcdefg" and Field2= "0123456789".
Both are varchar2.
Using oracle how can I write a select query that gives a result as follows :
Field1/last three words of Field2
as abcdefg/789

Here is ur result...
Select field1 || substr(field2,length(field2)-3) from my table
write the name of the first field then use the substring function and pass it the second field with relative parameters
