Simple mathematics problem?

Ok, so I have the equation .03x^2 - 7 = y. where x is the number of seconds since takeoff and y is the height of the spacecraft.

If it passes through the point (100, 295), then it will hit the moon. Determine if it will hit the moon going on the path perscribed above.

My initial instinct is to plug it into the equation above .03(100^2) -7 = 295. But then I get 297=295? Which would mean it does not hit the moon? But I know for a fact that the answer is that it does. So what am I doing wrong...
