the abu. the skeet reese rods really have some poor craftmanship. lots of extra epoxy on the guides, loose real seats, crooked guides, etc have all been reported.
The best Skeet Reese rods are the 7' 10" Crankin' rod and the 8 FT Medium heavy, (for Flippin'). That's about it. Out of the whole Reese series there are 2 rods.
Every series has one or two "good ones". However, for the SK series, you still have to get past the "color"- lol.
SO, I vote for the Abu Garcia. The Veritas are more versatile and (honestly) aren't "yellow". (lol)
that's a stable rod...I virtually offered one for my baitcaster after a handbook fell aside on my old Bass professional rod. i became watching the St. Croix Mojo Bass, Triumph and maximum suitable sequence rods besides, purely for assessment. i finished up no longer getting any of those, and particularly happy with that decision. I have been given a Wright & McGill Skeet Reese rod...below $a hundred, lifetime guarantee, and it fairly is fairly been an incredible rod so a techniques. i've got examine blended comments, some human beings saying that's a brittle rod, yet i've got no longer had any difficulty with mine, and because that's an entire life guarantee, i'm no longer too nerve-racking.
Aww, man... you're gonna make me choose between THOSE two??
I dunno, honestly. They're both pretty funky-lookin' rods, both are split-grips (which I don't like), both are repulsive colors. And they're both relatively cheap, too. Oh suuuuure... there's a $10 difference between 'em, but how much better is that?
Screw it, I guess if I had a choice, I'd go with the Abu. Mainly, 'cause I'm not a fan of Skeeter Reese.

Abu, I hear those Skeet Reese rods suck, I don't understand why he had to choose yellow as his color either, it looks ugly on everything.
