okay, weirdest thing ever!
I just logged onto my computer, and I've had Vista for a while now.
so, most of you guys know, the appearance right?
of the windows and the task bars...start menu..etc right?
You know how it's transparent?
Well, I logged into, and my wallpaper is the same BUT..
the entire them of the windows and task bars it's as if it's the previous version of windows.
yea, okay, I went to change the appearance options..
THERE ARE NO "VISTA" anymore. It's as if it never existed.
I'm so confused, there are no other themes but the one I have now.
can someone please help me?
I've already gone on "Personalize" BTW. it does nothing, the options are different from back then.
And last night when I used my computer everything was fine...
HELP this is aggravating

2. Start > search box, enter services.msc > prompt > scroll to find :
Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager : Status should be Started , Startup type should be Auto
Theme : Status is Started , Startup Type is Auto
If they are not, highlight the one, look to the left column, click Restart.
previous verison of windows?
you mean windows classic style where everything is gray?
it might be that theme services have turned off
try - windows key + R
on that new run command window type services.msc
on the new services window, scroll down to the "themes" service
stop and start it a couple of times
now try and change themes
Do you mean your taskbar and bits around windows was transparent but now it's solid colour?
Try: Right click on empty area of your desktop. Select Personalize. Then
select Windows Color and Appearance. Check the box to enable transparency.
