Download the latest sound drivers. Find the model of your sound cars and download the necessary drivers. If it's an on-board sound card, download the audio drivers corresponding to your motherboard or sound system.

If that does not work and if you are using a pirated version of the game, then chances are that whoever burned that disc for you did a bad job at it. Ask him/her/them about it.
