What are PBR Image drive and WINRETOOLS drive on my c drive?
I have a dell. These two are showing up randomly and i am have no idea what they are. How can i get rid of them. Are they important? Why didnt i see them before? What are they anyway
PBR Image drive and WINRETOOLS drive are the recovery partitions and contain the recovery image (PBR Image) and Windows Recovery Environment tools (WINRETOOLS). They are important for recovering the system in case of a software issue and should not be deleted.

I have Windows 10, which I do not like. These - PBR Image and WINRETOOLS were NOT there when I would go degrag my computer. Suddenly they are. And my computer is running so slow I could pitch it out the door. Why do I have them and why....since they weren t there before...can t I simply ditch them?
IMO delete every single partition on that thing and start over with a genuine Dell Win 8 disk on a fresh partition/partitions. Be sure you have a Windows 8 key sticker though as Dell recovery disks now ask for it! Traditionally they never have! It just knew and even if it didn't you had a COA sticker.
Since my computer automatically upgraded from 8 to 8.1, I have a partition on the WINRETOOLS that is refusing to be optimized. I click it because it says it's 57% fragmented, but it won't let me fix anything with the optimizer. This needs to be fixed. My computer is only 4 months old & is already running slow. This is likely part of the issue. I only have a couple things over what my laptop came with. I clean it up weekly or more. There's no reason for it to slow down. Yes, I do have a virus scanner! It lets me know if someone's trying to break in, which has only happened once because I always use incognito when I'm surfing for info. This needs to be fixed with the optimizer so I can get things working properly again! I've noticed on another site there's LOTS of people having the same issues.
I am running windows 10 on my dell inspiron,I have a third partition else than PBR image and WINRETOOLS which is just shown when I run defragemntation tool, and its name is \\?\volume{10bca33-19f9-46ee-84e5-1eaea381a679}\
