what does int(0dx) equal to? (zero times dx). I assume 0 but could you please justify. And what about define integrals are they all going to equal zero as well????
Atualizada:amyloowho. Thanks a lot. I'm good with math but somehow could get my head around this. Thanks for coming back to geometric interpretation. I like that a lot. By definite integrals, I meant definite integrals of 0dx.
I guess I'll have to wait longer to reword your fast response =D

what is zero? well in your case, it means y=0 (because you're doing single variable calc with x varying)
think of the line y=0. it's a horizontal line, also known as the x-axis. what is the area beneath that curve (the integral)? nothing, right? that's why it's zero.
do you mean definite integrals? if so, then they won't all equal zero. it depends on the function and the interval.
