I had a dream this afternoon about Papa Legba. He was dancing and trying to get me to drink with him. I have never had an interest in voodoo or any such thing but am aware of who he is through studying various religions. I've not recently thought of him or ever really given him much thought. (No disrespect). Something about the dream has stuck with me and I don't consider myself to be a spiritual person. I'd appreciate any thoughts on what this dream could mean?

It all depends on what you think about voodoo as a religion. I understand that you don't personally practice it or want to, but perhaps it is symbolic of some aspect of your own life? Ask yourself what emotions you experienced when you saw PaPa Legba, and you will have your answer.
It means you had a dream. Nothing more.
Here's something that spiritualists and dream analysts really don't like to talk about...
I've dreamed about sex, a lot more than you've dreamed about Vodou characters. If dreams and reality are somehow connected, why haven't Brittney, Beyonce, Lucy Liu, Catherine Zeta Jones, Donna D'Erico, Heather Locklear, that chick from Murder She Wrote, several of my co-workers, my hot neighbour and her hot sister, or at least one of them, called me to thank me for such incredible sex? Because trust me, they would have remembered sex that good. I won't go into the grisly details, you'll just have to take my word that it was memorable. So why?
Or could it be, just possibly, that dreams are just dreams and don't really mean anything?
