A robust, usually Germanic type individual, with a wide face, low cranial vault, and primarily mesocephalic skull. They tend to blend with Borreby types, who are mostly brachycephalic, and with whom they share a common origin. There is a dispute over whether Faelids are unreduced Cro Magnon descendants, or if they are the result of a Nordic, Borreby Cro Magnon admixture. Most examples on amateur anthropology sites provide examples of robust Nordics, rather than true Faelids.
