As awesome as Lelouch is, I think Light would win.

As seen in the manga and anime, he usually has some sort of trick up his sleeve. Appearing to do something when he's really doing something else, like writing names down in a bag of chips while doing homework. And also, because I think that Light's just smarter. Sorry Lulu.

Ah, but I don't think even Lelouch could predict the abilities of a Death Note, and given how cautious he can be about revealing his identity, I think he'd be more likely to simply ask Light what he was writing than immediately Geass him. And then you've also got the question of how they'd discover the other's name/identity in the first place.

I do prefer Lelouch as a character, but that's a very difficult question. There's actually a fanfiction that deals with this very question:

Definally Light because he has the Deathnote, add a death god's eyes and you find lelouch's identity quickly. If Light went to Ashford, basically Lulu would have to greet him.

If Lelouch tried to use Geass, he could use it once, and then force Light to write his name in the book, only cutting his lifespan in half, as if the owner of the deathnote writes his name, his lifespan is cut in half, and lastly, light might break lelouch's geass with his own will, like how nanally did.

Lastly, if light wrote Lulu's name wrong 5 times, but has a pretty good visual of him, lelouch dies :P

The only for lelouch to win is to have a geass code, but if that wont work, then using mao's geass should work at a 48.5% chance success, lastly, he would need C.C., but she might fail due to Light's home security, and Ryuk would be there.

since no one told it yet, i'm the first one to say it: lelouch would win!! ^_^ because even "kami-sama god" has a weak point, and he'd discover it.

in the death note anime, light was surrounded by either stupid peope, or ones who were not interested in love.

so light would play innocent, preten to get attached to him, actually making light get atached to him, and...

or rather, steal the notebook?? ^_^ ypu! a notebook can be stolen, or replaced. and lelouch would figure out the hideouts of the real death note, and so on...

Light..all he needs is the name where as Ledouche cant use Geass second time on the same person so Light by miles.
