1984 Honda accord idle problem.?
So i have an 84 accord that was running okay, gave it a tune up cuz its been siting for a bit car battery was dead so i got a new one. I just fond out that it has a bad alternator, but what i wanted to know it would that be keeping it from idling it starts just fine but you have to give it gas to keep in running.

Hi Wow this must be an antique almost still going after 30 years. that car deserves a medal.
most after 12 years where on the scrap heap being recycled into coke cans.
i really do find at totally amazing what some expect from an old car.
The idle may be set too low.
The alternator may be seizing up and straining the engine.
Did you instal the spark plug wires in the correct order?
