About a day before this happened my car stalled twice on my way home, and my oil temp. was on the highest level it could be. So i checked my oil. it was almost completely empty as well as my antifreeze. so i filled both up and it seemed to be running fine. the next day i turn my car on and it's smoking a lot and won't go past 3000rpms. Anybody have any idea what this could be. Piston rings, head gasket? maybe fuel filter?

What color smoke? It's probably a blown gasket and your leaking oil + anti-freeze into the cylinders and burning them up. Get it looked at ASAP before the damage gets worse & the motor isn't saveable.
the motor is junk now
its best to replace with a used one
you be paying alot more money for repair when you can get a used low mileage motor
