2 year olds temp 39.9?
My little brothers temperature has risen to 39.9 and we gave him calpol ages ago and it has only gone down to 39.7. My parents have put him to bed now but I am still very worried. He has got a bit of a rash around his mouth and his eyes and his temp is still 39.7. Any ideas of what it could be ?? Thank you xx

That is a dangerous temperature. If it begins to exceed 40 then the enzymes in his body will begin to denature - he needs medical treatment now!
thats 103 fahrenheit. at that point, seizures are likely up until 5 years old although they aren't dangerous and won't leave lasting effects. he'll probably be fine though. if it gets any worse, a cool cloth on the forehead can help. if it reaches 107 (41.7) then it's a good idea to take him to the er. but obviously your parents know more about this then you would as they've had at least 1 kid before.
He needs to go to hospital. At that tempreture he will start to fit. The rash sounds like a viral rash also which needs urgent attention!
that temperature is really dangerous cos if it's any higher the enzymes in his body will denature (die) and there might be permanent damage to his body or even... i'm not saying it. bring him to the hospital asap!
