cheap junk brake pads will cause this problem, the sliders being seized will cause the problem as well
screeching noise VERY COMMON
if u have not had a brake pad replace for 3-5 years
is time for new pads
if they are new and have screeching noise
that is ok ,that are just the pads are new and the surface have some
paint or sticky stuff on it
my car got all pads replaced last month and had the same problem
so they replaced another new pads for free BUT they still make the screeching noise
screeching noise happed when i step on the brake less than half way
so i went back and had the surface of the pads and rotor grinded and now is good no noise at all
if the screeching noise happed when u are braking strongy
then that mean you need new brake pads old one are worn out
Could be something between one of brake pads and the rotor. Like a stone or a small piece of metal. Check the metal tab that tells you when your pads are getting low sometimes they will bend and start scarping on the rotor before they should.
rust a round rotors edge can wire bush rotors outer edge an da roun dcenter where pads ride that or add grease to back of brake pads so they slide on the medal better

Most brakes have wear indicators that may have been bent into the rotors if these are disc brakes. The shop should had checked for that.
Probably cheap brake pads. Get the more expensive ones with shims on the back. This will eliminate the squeal.
