Jill got x number of votes that means
Jill = x
Morgan got twice as many votes as Jill. So its 2 times Jills votes
Morgan = 2x
Trisha won the election by 7 more votes than Morgan that means she had 7 more votes that Morgan. Its Morgans votes +7
Trisha = 2x + 7
The sum of these votes must count up to 327 because there were 327 votes
Jill + Morgan + Trisha = 327
x + 2x + 2x + 7 = 327
5x + 7 = 327
5x = 320
x = 64
put the value of x in Jill, Morgan and Trisha's equations.
Jill = x
Jill = 64
Morgan = 2x
Morgan = 128
Trisha = 2x + 7
Trisha = 135
x + 2x + 2x + 7 = 327
==> 5x = 325
==> x = 65
==> 2x = 130
==> 2x + 7 = 137
