I am currently working towards a BS. The field of study I am getting my degree in also has an associates at my college. My question is, can I do all the requirements for the associates and apply for that, then finish the rest of the classes for the BS? It might sound kind of weird, but in my situation, the future (to include my ability to continue college) is a little fuzzy. So I was wondering if this would be a good way to cover myself just in case, or is it not something that can be done?

I think that an associate's degree often has a bit of a "negative stigma" in the job market. So what I would do is the following: ensure that you complete all requirements for an associate's degree, but don't actually apply for it. Only in the case that you are not able to complete your BS, apply to get the associate's degree.
