blue + blue = blue
blue + red = purple
red + red = red
It could be possible, but rare?
Its a nose pigmentation....No good breeder would EVER breed two 'blue' dogs. The diluted blue color comes from a recessive gene....meaning a gene that both parents must carry....which also means that if the parents carry other recessive genes for BAD things, they will be doubled up and will show.
It shouldn't matter what color your dog's nose is...seriously.
The priorities of a good breeder:
1. Temperament
2. health
3. conformation
4. desired colors (and this is REALLY LOW PRIORITY)
IN THAT ORDER
A good pit bull (notice its two words with only one t in pit) breeder will breed two healthy and good temperament dogs. These dogs will have been temperament and health tested ON TOP of meeting the breed standard and having titles.
People breeding dogs ANY other reason are contributing to the problem. The last thing the pit bull breed (and all others related to it) needs is more idiots breeding them and adding to the numbers dying in shelters.
Unlikely. Breeding two blues means you are breeding two dilutes. Unless BOTH carried for Red its unlikely for them to produce it.
Color means nothing. It's JUST COLOR. It has no bearing on the breed or its bloodline.
That said, with mutts, anything is possible.
On pitbulls I really like the name cheeko
