BMW 318 ci E46 2003 brake sensors.?
Hi,
3 weeks ago I took my car in for a full service and the mechanic pointed out that my rear brake pads have worn down and have only 25% left.
So I was just wondering how worn down do the rear brake pads have to be before the brake sensor light up on my dash? 10% or 5% left?

The brake light comes on when there is 3mm of brake pad material left. Rear brakes wear about half as fast as front so even when the light comes on you have some time. Not a lot, but some.
