I want a new audio system in my CTS. I was first looking at a sub woofer or something to increase the bass in my car. Then new speakers for the front and rear. I was wondering if I could just switch out the stock sub or change out the amp to increase the bass in the car. Or will I have to get a separate sub and amp to put in my trunk? Suggestions on brands and ideas would be wonderful! Thank you.

you best talk to a pro installer about this before you attempt anything,in newer gm rides there are many other functions that are running off the same wiring harness as your stereo.information is free.its better to be safe then sorry.i think there,s a by pass kit needed if your planning on swapping out your head unit.
I would suggest going to talk to an expert: like at Best Buy or any car audio shop. The newer vehicles tend to be much more complex than older vehicles when dealing with audio wiring.
I recommend either Pioneer or Kicker products
