They were paired correctly (holding the button on the transmitter until it blinks, let go then wait for the 2nd double beep on the headset) and the lights all work like the instructions say they should (solid on transmitter and 1 blink per sec. on the headset) but there is no audio coming to the headphones. There were no drivers installed when they were plugged in.

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: it will take awhile to set up and maybe even an extra cord. You will need a PC audio adapter first of all. Similar to the way you connect to transmitter to your tv Audio in/out cables, you will need to do that for your PC. To do that you need a cord that I believe costs 10 dollars. Now, according to TB you can do it without buying anything extra. This is true, but much more complicated. First you will need to plug in the transmitter. Then you need an Xbox controller that is MS compliant that you can connect to your PC. Then you connect the controller to the headset via the cord in the package. Then you turn on everything and voila, you have audio.

Its a total joke, before you buy an x32 you should know its right, I bought it thinking oh a set of headphones will work on anything especially Turtlebeach... I was dead wrong! x32's out of the box only work on Xbox !!! lesson learned!
I am having the same problem. Just bought my X32 today and got it synced with the transmitter but it is not showing up in my possible audio devices. I do not want to get a cord to plug it in manually because it is supposed to be a wireless headset.
