Lets say, you work for a company that is both available in US and Canada, can you just transfer there? I ask because i read that to get a work permit, you must first get accepted at a job in Canada, and I thought, wouldn't just be easier to have the job already in the US, and just transfer to Canada?

Yes you can but it depends on the company and whether or not they have an opening in Canada or not. You might get into a job were the company has no need for you in Canada. Companies transfer employees across the border all the time
My DIL sister did it the opposite way and transferred to the States, but a transfer depends on the company
The company is required to get you a visa for an intra-company transfer. They are pretty easy to get for someone being transferred as long as you have been with them for over a year.
Sure you could, if the company agreed to transfer you. I believe they need to 'sponsor' you for a work visa.
Unless you have "special job skills " that are specific to that job,.............NO.
Employers in Canada have a legal obligation to advertise and fill vacancies with people who are Canadian citizens `first `and legal immigrants, second. As a American citizen , you MUST apply and be accepted, just like any other foreign worker has to..
