why is it that when a human sits on the passenger seat without a seatbelt, the car goes *beep beep beep*. but when you put things on it, for example bags or something, the car doesn't go *beep beep beep*. why? you can't say that its because of the weight.. because if a child of the same weight sits on the seat it still goes *beep beep beep*!
please figure this out for me.. how the hell does the censor know when a person's sitting on it and when there's no person?!

it only does that when the ignition is turned.
They install a spy camera in the dash.No just joking, the sensor in the seat is positioned in such away that groceries will not set it off because of the weight distribution, however when someone sits on the seat most of the weight is centered in the middle, most seat sensors are calibrated to 40lbs
The sensor is based on weight.
However, if you put a child seat, or a child on the cusion, it may not be placing the pressure in the right place.
