I'm not really sure what you mean by mommy bliss?? But if your baby is a newborn and is colicky (which is usually the definition of a lot of crying between the ages of 2 weeks and 4 months) I recomend you read the Happiest Baby on the Block. Its a great book about this problem and has some really good tips. The ideas that worked best for us was swaddling (we used a velcro swaddle wrap called the Summer Infant SwaddleMe). And as weird as it sounds turn on the hair dryer near by as you rock or cuddle your baby. Newborns LOVE the loud shhhhshhh sound of the hairdryer on high volume. The white noise sound it makes simulates the sounds they heard inside mom's belly. Apparently its quite loud inside there...and hearing that kind of sound is actually calming to a newborn. It calmed my little girl right down when she was crying and often put her right to sleep! Like magic! Good luck.
Buy some peppermint extract, fill a small saucepan with water, heat water to boiling, add a couple drops of peppermint and remove pan from heat. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, pour into a small baby bottle and feed to your baby. The results may take up to 30-minutes to be effective.
During this time; hold your baby up to your shoulder (like you're going to burp your baby), rub your babies back for quite some time and then pat your babies butt. Soon your baby will be burping like crazy, pass gas, relax and go to sleep. 'Old Fashioned' cures work every time.
Remember, to avoid colic; baby MUST be burped during and after every feeding....plus, lay baby on tummy to sleep.
