Well I have never been to Turks and Caicos but its a group of islands. So if exploring the coral reef and laying on the beach or bar hopping is your desire... Water and Sun..... perhaps the Turks and Caicos are your best bet.
Oh but let me share a little about Costa Rica. If you like to Hike or are just into awesome photos, how about a few active volcanoes like Arneal or Poas for your album. There are 161 National Parks, reserves and refuses in the small country which house 500,000 species of birds like the Scarlet Macaw and various hummingbirds along with the awesome Quetsals and Toucans! Don't forget the 120 species of snakes with various exhibits around to enjoy. My favorite are the monkeys... The congo monkeys wake you in the morning with their awesome howl and the little white faced capuchin's look just like grandpa! Its exciting to see a band of Titi monkeys coming running through the trees while you eat lunch overlooking the Pacific from a mountain top.
Whether you wish the deeper jungle of Osa, the tour of Tortugero rain forest or the excitement of looking down into the craters of volcanoes... you will have some of the best photos in the world Then, if you wish to just lay back, enjoy that sun and surf, Manuel Antonio National Park is my favorite place (I just came from there!) Dinner on a mountain top makes awesome sunsets! If you surf, there are plenty of places for that on the net, or if you wish to zip through the trees like tarzan, or explore the cloud forest there are many places for that too, like Monteverde. All packed in a tiny country the size of West Virginia. By bus, by tourist bus, by rental car or private transport, easy to get around to all.
What do you think? I am prejudice, but I live here (North American- resident of CR) Hope to see you soon! Dec-April best months...
