I got a rental car because my car is in repairs due to an accident they transfered my insurance on my rental.
Now my car's accident was not my fault at all so im not gonna be charged any deductible or anything.
But as i was turning right driving the rental car this week i hit a curb and the alignement is now off and the ESP light is on since. Will i get charged a deductible ? How does it work ? Im in canada montreal should i go to a mecanic and fix the alignement myself or just return it as is ?

We don't know how you rented it. Some credit cards provide coverage if you used that card for the rental. if your insurance company rented it for you as a loaner while getting repairs then chances are that they will take care of it.
If you try to get it aligned by yourself they may refuse to do it when they see the rental markings at the major named outlets but a local garage may.
I rent some 30 plus times a year and have had a few issues and the rental companies have been more than fair in their charges. I thought they were going to rape me on the charges.
Rental Car places offer insurance when you rent the car. Hopefully you paid the few extra dollars to insure it. Best of luck.
It may not be a good outcome. I'd recommend getting better insurance.
The answer lies in the contract you signed with the car rental agency.
Contact them and tell them what happened. You won't have to look after the repairs yourself but you will be on the hook for at least some of the cost ( or all of it if the rental happens to have a very high deductible rate ) unless you opted to buy their full coverage as an extra.
You should also read your contract. It spells out what to do if involved in an accident.
You should also notify the rental car company. They will advise you on what must be done.
The type of insurance that you have will determine whether or not you will have to pay a deductible.
Oh yeah, you'll be charged the deductible. Especially in Montreal Quebec Canada.
The contract you signed with the rental company is very simple and very serious. Since you didn't buy the rental company's optional damage insurance, that means you and you alone agreed that you would personally be responsible for any and all damage to the rented vehicle no matter what. When you return the vehicle and they notice the damage (and they will), they'll simply send the repair bill to your credit card (which you provided) and be done with it.
After that happens, the rental company doesn't really care how or if you're compensated for your loss. You can file for compensation with your auto insurer, your credit card provider or your Aunt Edna for all they care, because their work here is done.
You would be wise to simply ask your insurance provider instead of fielding speculation for random strangers, karim. Tracking?
hi so now you return the rental car to get it fixed. as it is your responsibility to do this. they will most likely give you another car till your rental period is over. as for the cost that is why we pay such high rates on hire car insurance.
Since it is on your insurance, you will be charged the deductible. This is why I always pay the extra insurance the rental company charges, so I can walk away from any damage.
