The question reads Identify the values for which the rational expression is undefined the problem is
2/p^2 -- 9 my answers where -3,0,3 am I correct or am I wrong?
-3 and 3 and dont think 0 is one of the asnwers
it is undefined if the bottom = 0
p^2 - 9 = 0
p^2 = 9
p = -3 or 3
maybe your confused about squaring zero or something, you can do that 0^2 = 0
I'm assuming that's a negative and not a double negative in the denominator. If the denominator is p^2 - 9, then -3 and 3 would be an undefined denominator. the "0" would equal a denominator of -9, which is legit.
0 is not correct because the value of the denominator is -9 which is ok. Your other two answers are right because the value of the denominator is 0.
