I herniated two disc in my back. Due to my injury, i'm unable to perform my duties at my job(the entire day, heavy lifting). The disability insurance carrier cut my off my disability payments. My lawyer exhausted all appeals.MY primary doctor wrote multiple reports stating i'm unable to perform my duties of my job. However, the insurance carrier doctors disagrees. Now, my lawyer wants to discuss the pro and cons of filing a lawsuit against the insurance carrier. Before I meet with my lawyer, I want to get some insight into what others think of the situation. I suppose a judge decides the outcome. IS there a good chance I'll win the case? Is there a fee for filing a lawsuit?

I assume your company has a private disability plan and they dont participate in your State disability plan? You have an administrative hearing. You have to know if your lawyer will accept your case on contingency basis where he would get 33 1/3 percent of your settlement. No one here knows how good or bad your case is so we cant answer the question. I dont know how long it would take to win. Meanwhile, do you have health insurance to pay for the bills?
