When they were just playing in local clubs and whatnot, they would use a different name everytime, but nothing that they really wanted to stick with. Then one of their friend's mom's maiden name was Paramore. Hayley looked it up and found that the meaning is "secret lover." It is really spelled paramour, but they chose to go with the spelling that their friend's mom had.
