Anything? My sister needs food with really low sugar, because she found out that her sugar is too high. She's a diabetic.
She likes chicken more than beef, if that helps.
I've been searching online, but everything I've found still has a lot of carbs.
Thanks.

dreamfields pasta is extremely low carb, check out their website and it will explain the net carbs.
I would make lots of big chef salads with boiled eggs, any kind of meat, cheese, ect. and green vegtables. Salad dressins are usually all low in carbs too.
Stir fry chicken, brocolli, misc veggies (Onion, mushroom, peppers), teriaki sauce.
You can buy low carb bread and wraps that are extremely low carbs.
Omlettes, piece of bacon and a piece of low carb bread for breakfast.
Boiled eggs for snacks, cheese sticks, low carb yogurt.
Baked Yams (sweet potatoe) are much lower carb than white potatoes.
Low carb fruit is strawberries and apples I believe.
You need to buy a book on the glycemic index which gives all the info you need. The glycemic index is how fast food you eat turns to sugar in your blood.
Also, the more fiber is in food (fruit, bread, ect), it lowers the 'net' affect of the carbs.
Lean protiens of course.
Green veggies are the best for diabetics as they have less natural sugars and carbs wich break down into sugars (as you know)
There is a low carb pasta called Dream Field Wheat. I find mostly at my local Smiths/Kroger. Google them and see where you can find them in your area. Only 5 net grams of carbs per serving.
There is also a kind of tortillas I like to buy. They are called Carb Chopper, but I can't remember what company puts them out. They are only like 7 or 8 net carbs each and are whole wheat and only 70-80 calories.
There is another low carb one. There is also low carb but it is thinner and almost like a pliable cracker, but for making a small pizza they work great.
****If it's not going to be Dreamfireld wheat pasta the it shoule be whole grain. I had a rye pasta here a while back. It was very yummy, with good flavor.
Or there is a whole grain called Quinoa, it is Very high in protien. Wich helps diabetic with digestion and so on. In some healthfood stores you can buy a Quinoa spaghetti. It comes ina blue box and is soooo good. Taste pretty close to normal pasta.
Brown rice, and whoel grian anything else.
The recipe I used the rye noodles in was this:
Modified Johnny Marzetti:
1 pound gorund turkey
1/4 small-medium onion chopped
1 can diced stewed tomatoes
A couple cups cooked rye noodles
italian seasoning
Saute the turkey with the onion, then add the tomatoes, and pasta. Add italian seasoning to taste.
I like mine sprinkled with a bit of shredded cheese.
It's not as hard as you think. Just cook any type of meat/chicken/fish without breading it and without a sweet sauce. Have it with non-starchy veggies. Avoid fruit.
It's ok to have a little fat when you're cutting out carbs. It's a different way of thinking. Here's a sample of low carb meals
Breakfast:
- Scrambled eggs with diced ham and a little cheese.
- Any type of omelet (no potatoes though).
- Cottage cheese
Lunch:
- A chef salad.
- Tuna salad stuffed tomato.
- A hamburger patty with green beans and almonds. Cheeseburger is fine too. (no bread)
- Homemade chili (no beans)
- Chicken greek salad
- egg salad wrapped in lettuce leaves (you can pick them up and eat it like a taco)
Snacks:
- sliced turkey rollups filled with boursin cheese and sliced red peppers
- Nuts
- Peanut butter and celery (get no sugar added peanut butter).
- String cheese
Dinner:
- Steak with sauteed mushrooms, spinach
- Italian sausage with sauted peppers, onions, zucchini
- Shrimp scampi with broccoli (no pasta)
- Roasted chicken with cauliflower au gratin.
- Broiled seasoned salmon, asparagus
- Ham steak with a casserole of yellow summer squash, green chile, cheese and eggs. Not honey ham. Check label to avoid excessive sugar.
- Pork chops and southern-style braised cabbage.
Hope that gives you some ideas. I low carb a lot.
How about broccoli slaw tacos. I use to make this recipe when I was on the southbeach diet. I don't know the exact carb count but if you use it with low carb tortillas it shouldn't have too many carbs. It is made with broccoli slaw and ground turkey meat.
