Facebook message problem!!!?

Please do share if you know the solution.
Suppose you need to send a message to an unknown person in facebook, the other person does not get the notification since its sent from a stranger.
One needs to manually check it in this case. I have tested it.
On your facebook home page, click on messages on left side. Then you get a sub menu under messages called 'others'. And the message goes here and unless and until one checks it manually, message gets unnoticed.
CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT AND TRY URSELF.
Even if i send friend request also, now facebook doesnt allow to send message. It automaticallu sends request. Facebook has changed settings!!! :(
Now how do i ensure myself that the other person can see the message???
PLEASEE HELP ME!!!!

You are right. Messages go in other messages and we are never notified. One thing you can do, send the person a message as well as you Poke them. On the home page, Pokes are displayed on top. He/she may notice it easily.
