http://www.ewtn.com/ is a great place and they are located in Alabama somewhere. there is daily mass broadcast there every day at 8 am, noon, 7 pm and midnight, it is a old fashioned latin style mass, but it is very beautiful and all the important parts are in english. There are also tons of good resources at this web site. Answers to questions about the Church are called Apologetics so there may be a section with that title, there are also some good talk shows. Father Mitch Pacwa is a favorite of mine. You can also find vids of Fr. Pacwa on Youtube.

I would call the Church and tell them you are interested in the Catholic faith and you would like to talk to someone and see if they can recommend some information. If they can't help you, try another Church and talk to a Priest. Usually they are happy to talk to people about the faith. Don't give up if you can't find someone the first try.

You may make a preliminary visit, but I think the RCIA classes (very worthwhile, whether you consider joining or not) are 1/2 way through and you may not get to start them until next September. In the meantime, any new catechists will be baptized on Easter Sunday.

You can try to talk to the priest at that Catholic church. He might be bi-lingual, and they probably have Masses in English and in Spanish. At the very least, the priest might be able to direct you to the right contact person so you can learn more about the Catholic faith.

I would go to that Catholic Church and tell him (the priest there)basically what you have told us. He will get you started on the right track. Don't worry about any language or culture barrier. One thing you will eventually learn about the Catholic Church is that it is *universal* (the word "Catholic" itself is from the Greek "katholicos", which means "universal" or "all encompassing") and it trancends cultures or national borders.

definitly talk to the priest i am catholic and have had my confession first communion and my confirmation and i am very into the faith..if you have any more questions ask me. but yes talk to the priest..we do not worship mary as many ignorant protestant sects believe we were the first chirstian sect and are very official we have the same routine everyday based on scripture and 1 homily where the scripture is kind of related to what is goin on today..protestant sects i cannot stand because they have fun and dont take it seriously if you are serious about your faith i believe catholicism is the best..talk to the priest if you are intersted try to get your adult confirmation
