Does an employer or graduate school care more about the prestige of a University? Or the grades? I would be able to get around 2.5 at a school such as William and Mary or Wake Forest. Or I could go to somewhere such as Alabama, double major, possibly be in the honors program and could most likely get above a 3.3. I am looking to do finance and Poli Sci or criminology. Possibly law school after undergrad. So, which is a more important factor, grades or school prestige? Thanks!

Prestige. Nobody cares about a school they never heard of. I had a low gpa, but i'm a Duke alum.
Graduate schools care about grades, not a college's prestige. You need at least a 3.5 GPA to get into graduate school anywhere. You would be better off being an exceptional student at an average school than an average student at an exceptional school.
prestige looks good on a job application, grades are better for graduate school, although despite reputations it all come down to how much work youre willing to put in.
