I recently swapped in the h22a1, for the h23 inside my 93 honda prelude si. Thing is I still have the h23 ecu installed/p14. The car still runs, however it waste a ridiculous amount of gas (more then a v8) and the exhaust/muffler throws out small particles of gas/oil? Is it because it has the wrong ecu, or is it a different problem. Please help.

yea ecu is one. did you switch out to a vtec harness also.
your definitely going to want the correct ecu, the maps are just thrown off because the motor is different and its compensating the best it can to keep the car running, but obviously not correctly.
that ecu may work im not really familar with h series but just go get that ecu chipped and tuned should fix ur prob
