Had a lean code and misfire code forever finally replaced all fuel injectors and the codes cleared and car runs great again. But upon completing the drive cycle a new code came on it P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2). The car is running perfectly fine but it is hard to start and a very strong exhaust smell almost like unburnt fuel. Please help! It's a 2000 Toyota Celica GT btw.
Update:P0420** not 430

the easiest think to do is remove your catalytic converter and clean it out and you can also remove the oxygen sensor after the cat and clean or replace it first. it can cause the car to use fuel differently. try taking it to a muffler shop and ask them to lift the car and look for any exhaust leaks.
Nearly 100% of these issues are due to a clogged up IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE and throttle body. Take $20 to the local quicky lube, they will CLEAN them out for you. The IAC adds AIR on demand from the O2 sensors and a CLOGGED up one will ruin mileage, power, idle and cost more MONEY for gas. The bad AIR intake is why you smeel rotten eggs, IT is hard rto believe that only $20 or so will fix the probelm, but it WILL! Run GUMOUT and SEAFOAM through the PCV valve to dissologe the crap trapped inwside the converter, piston rings, and valve heads. GOOD LUCK!! GOOD LUCK!!
