I need help with this question:
Two mice, Joe and Bob take 15 days to eat 1 lb of food.
By himself, Joe takes 25 days to eat 1 lb of food.
How many days does Bob take?
I'd like to know how to solve it, and the answer to check if I did it right.
Update:I don't think some of you understand. If Bob takes ten days to eat a pound, then why would they take 15 days together? :|
It's not like they gotta split the food.

x = time needed by Bob to eat 1lb of food
⇔
1/15 = 1/25 + 1/x
1/x = 1/15 - 1/25
1/x = [ 25 / ((15) (25)) ] - [ 15 / ((15) (25)) ]
1/x = [ 25 - 15 ] / [ (15) (25) ]
1/x = 10/375
1/x = 2/75
x = 75/2
x = 37.5 days = 37 days and 12 hours.
*******
joe = 25
joe + Bob = 15 (-), minus
Bob = 10
J and B needs 15 days ot eat 1 lb
15 days is the average.
total days required for 2 of them is 2*15 = 30
If J needs 25 days, then B needs 5 days.
