i was walking down the mall and a guy that works for the malls bally's fitness was trying to get people to join the gym. he stops me and talks to me about their gym and i told them no im not interested and already went there for free for 2 weeks with a pass my friend gave me. he kept talking and told me that he can give me 3 month free, i told him sure, but no matter what im not going to change my mind about joining there gym. they said okok and start filling out paper works. i thought it was paper works to join the gym for a free 3 month. he then asks me for my license, but i told him i dont have one, and he asks me if i have a debit or credit card, i give it to him thinking it was just to make sure my names correct or something( i know stupid of me) and he gives me the paper work and tells me to sign it, because i was in a rush i quickly signed and never looked at the paper. this was last month. today i was looking through my bank transactions and saw a payment to ballys fitness. i quickly start looking for the paper he gave me. when i looked at the paper HE WROTE DOWN MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER AND IT WAS A 1 YEAR CONTRACT. AND I HAVE TO PAY 200 SOMETHING!! AND 19.99 A MONTH. IM GOING CRAZY AND I SIGNED IT TOO. i know i feel extremely stupid for signing it. i shouldve read the whole paper before signing it. i know because i signed it theres little i can do but i know theres something i can do! he gave me false oral information and didnt even tell me he was writing down my bank number! Help!
Update:i also never went to that gym since i signed that contract. i also plan on going to the gym to complain tomorrow morning,

You can dispute the case with your bank and claim the transaction to constitute of fraud without your consent or in your case ( not being made fully aware of what you signed ) your bank will then raise the claim against the third party. Just make sure you didn't visit the gym from the time you signed the contract.
I think that you will find that you have paid for a 1 year contract but get membership for 15 months. Thus you get the 3 free months membership as promised.
The salesman did not lie. He just misled you.
You cannot complain as you did everything willingly. You did not have to talk to the guy. You could have just walked off.
